Loomaaed enne loomaaeda // Zoo before zoo

Vaba päev juba saabus seiklusrohkelt. Bussijuht, kes pidi mind ära viima sõbranna juurde, lõikas minu peatuse maha ja sõitis tagasi Amsterdami. Poole tunnise sõidu asemel sain pooleteise tunnise sõidu.

Aga! Kolmapäeval käisime siinses loomaaias Artis. Kuna loomaaed asub linnas, siis on see pidanalalt tunduvalt väiksem kui Tallinnas ja loomad tunduvad olema rohkem pakitud. Aga siiski on loomi palju ning tundub kõik uudne ja uhke.
//But! On Wednesday we went to a zoo Artis. Because the zoo is in the city, the size of it is smaller than the zoo in Tallinn and the animals seem to have less space. But still they have a lot of animals here and the zoo looks new and fancy.

Eriti lahedad on loomamajad, kus näiteks ahvimajas loomad polegi eraldatud klaasiga, vaid vabalt ronivad puudel üle sinu. Või siis liblikate maja, kus eksootilised tiivalised üle ja ümber lendavad.

//The coolest things are the animal-houses. Example in the monkey-house the animals are not separated with any glass or rope but they are climbing on trees just above. Or the house of butterflies, where exotic dipterous fly over and next to you.

Sellel suvel käisin loomaaias Tallinnas ja Amsterdamis, aga tundb, et igal pool käib mäng "Otsi looma!" Vähemalt elevandid ja kaelkirjakud on või ei ole, ei saa neid peita, vaid võib näha saada nende toredat iseloomu kohe kindlasti.

Kui muidu aega pole, siis asudes loomariiki saab kindlasti vähemalt päevase puhkuse.
